Under joint supervision of a certified cooperating teacher and a College supervisor, students gain teaching experience in the preschool, elementary school, or middle school classroom.
7 credit hours

• satisfactory completion of all courses in the M.A.T. program in elementary education
• positive recommendation from instructors
• minimum grade of B- in all professional education courses
• cumulative GPA of 3.0 a full semester prior to student teaching
• completion of technology competency requirement
• completion of community service requirement
• negative result from the required tuberculin test
