Developing Leaders To Make a Difference
The intensifying competition for resources and demand for efficiency and high performance are pressing companies and non-profit organizations in all fields to become more flexible, more results-focused, and more fast-acting. Such initiatives require extraordinarily effective leadership, and the challenge for companies, organizations and colleges alike is to help.
RIC’s Economic and Leadership Development initiative was created to support these efforts through research, experiential learning and practical application. This leadership initiative is available to RIC students regardless of major in the spring semester. Leadership training is also offered to senior and mid-management and front-line personnel in the wide variety of companies and organizations that make up Rhode Island.
A part of RIC’s office of Professional Studies and Continuing Education, Economic and Leadership Development is headed by Lawrence E. Wilson, a Wharton MBA with more than thirty-five years of senior management experience in Fortune 100 corporations and artistic and cultural non-profits.
