A degree in biology can launch you into a wide range of careers, from the pharmaceutical industry to the medical field, from environmental science to biotechnology.
Rhode Island College biology faculty are a community of scientific researchers with wide-ranging expertise.
Our faculty provide both an academically rigorous and student-centered learning environment. RIC's small class sizes (lab sections have a 24-student maximum) create many opportunities for student-faculty and student-student interactions. Students gain a wide range of laboratory skills, written and oral communication skills and have the opportunity to engage in focused research experiences under the guidance of faculty mentors.
The project’s goal is to transform STEM research, education and workforce development within Rhode Island.
The death of a young, pregnant Black woman inspired her lifework.
