Tai Sun Choi, Personality Graphic Portrait

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5-8 p.m.; Tai Sun Choi, Artist Talk , 6:30 p.m.

This exhibition offers an opportunity to see unique student work from Konkuk University, Korea, where traditional Korean culture melds with Western communication media. The different forms of communication graphics presented include posters, package designs, book designs, advertisements and website designs. Each work displayed was juried in June 2013 as part of the graduation-approval process and was exhibited at the University Gallery last fall.

Also featured is a retrospective of graphic work by Tai Sun Choi of the university’s Department of Visual Communication Design. At the reception Tai Sun Choi will discuss his work and the university’s curriculum.

This show is curated by Heemong Kim, professor of art, Rhode Island College.
