Five by Design in Club Swing

Muir String Quartet with guest Alexander Fiterstein, Clarinet

The Muir String Quartet will return to RIC for its 17th year. The first concert of the season will be on Nov. 23, with special guest Alexander Fiterstein on the clarinet. The program includes Dvorak's Cypresses for String Quartet, Beethoven's String Quartet in F Major, Op. 135 and Brahms' Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115.

The Muir String Quartet with special guest Marcus Thompson, viola

The Muir String Quartet returns to RIC, along with special guest Marcus Thompson on viola. The evening's program includes Mozart's "Dissonant" String Quartet K. 465; Beethoven's The Harp, Op. 74; and Mendelssohn's String Quintet in B Flat Major, Op. 87.

Pianist Steven Mayer

Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy: Masters of the Fiddle

On March 4, two of the world’s most celebrated fiddlers, husband and wife team Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, will present Masters of the Fiddle, a whirlwind of music, song and dance. These two living legends are routinely selling out houses three times the size of RIC’s Roberts Hall Auditorium, so plan to secure your tickets soon for this sure-fire hit concert.

The Muir String Quartet

On March 22, the quartet will perform Barber's String Quartet, Op. 11; Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 3 in D Major, Op. 44, No. 1; and Beethoven's String Quartet No.8 in E Minor, Op. 59, No. 2.

Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations®

Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations® returns to RIC with another award-winning "concert with commentary." On April 13, Siegel will present Chopin and the Future, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth. The program will feature works of Chopin that enchant the ear and point to the future - nocturnes and etudes - and the music of composers inspired by him, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Scriabin and Szymanowski.

Kenny Werner Jazz Quintet

When: Monday, April 19, 2010 at 7:30 PM

The Kenny Werner Jazz Quintet will perform on April 19 with a lineup featuring world renowned musicians Kenny Werner on piano, Randy Brecker on trumpet, David Sanchez on tenor sax, Johannes Weidenmueller on bass and Antonio Sanchez on drums.

Aspen Santa Fe Ballet

When: Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 7:30 PM
Where: Auditorium in Roberts Hall

Aspen Santa Fe Ballet will close out the 2009/10 season on May 1. This contemporary ballet troupe with a European twist will perform an eclectic repertoire by some of the world’s foremost choreographers.
