Cap and Gown Convocation

Academic attire is worn for this occasion! Caps and gowns for the Commencement season should be purchased at the GradFest in the Student Union Ballroom between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1. If you were unable to purchase your cap and gown at that time, please inquire at the Campus Store 456-8025.
If you are living/working out of state and could not either purchase your academic regalia at GradFest or, subsequently, at the Campus Store, you may order by phone or e-mail. Here's how...
Telephone: Contact the Campus Store at (401) 456-8025 and charge to your credit card. If you would like your regalia sent to you, an additional $13.95 charge will apply.
E-mail: Contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate your wish to purchase. Request that regalia be held for you at the Campus Store. Provide your student ID number and information on your height and weight. Indicate the school in which you will be receiving your degree. Plan to pick up at the Campus Store before the ceremonies.

It will process into the auditorium at 12:30 p.m. Caps should be CARRIED, NOT WORN, into the auditorium (since the capping ceremony is part of the program). Marshals will be on hand to direct the procession outside. Follow their instructions. Once the faculty has processed into the auditorium, seniors will follow them and will be seated in the Center Section.
Special Note: The academic hood you receive with your regalia should be reserved for commencement (hoods are NOT worn on cap and gown day.)
The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. A reception will be held in the lobby of Roberts Hall immediately following the ceremony.
In the event of inclement weather, the marshals will direct the line of march, which will remain indoors.
