Learning for Life (L4L)

A collaborative effort of the Offices of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to foster student access and success across campus

We’re about Resilience and Excellence. Begun in 2012, L4L is a project at RIC that links students to a wide range of services, supports, and opportunities for college success, and to remove any challenges and obstacles that may get in the way. L4L is a network of resources to help students navigate through any challenges on the way to graduation!

Services include:

L4L is primarily funded through a federal College Access Challenge Grant, administered through the RI Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner. L4L also receives funds through a Lumina Foundation Community Partnership for Attainment Sub Award from the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University/Providence Children and Youth Cabinet; and a subaward of federal Race to the Top funds through the RI Department of Education, in partnership with the RIC Institute for Early Childhood Teaching and Learning.
