New Student Orientation
Congratulations and Welcome to Rhode Island College!
Undergraduate New Student Orientation will be held on January 5 & 6, 2015
In order to introduce you to RIC and assist you in making a smooth transition to the college, all new transfer, second bachelor degree and readmitted matriculated students are required to attend the January 2015 new student orientation program on January 5 and 6, 2015. We have scheduled four orientation cycles over two days to suit your schedule. Freshmen only, please note: there is a special orientation session scheduled for you on Monday, January 5 at 8:00 a.m. in Alger Hall 110. Your attendance is required. You will receive a letter of invitation in early December.
Transfer, readmitted, and second bachelor degree students will have the opportunity to experience orientation with a small group of their classmates. You will be able to review your transfer credit evaluations, meet with faculty and staff advisors, register for classes, become acquainted with the campus, and learn more about the programs and services offered at Rhode Island College. After you have sent in your deposit to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, you will receive a letter from OASIS directing you on how to register for your orientation session . If you do not receive a letter from us, please call (401)456-8439.
We are happy that you have chosen to join us. We will make every effort to see that your first experience as a degree candidate at Rhode Island College is an informative and enjoyable one.
Please note: As a new student you will be advised and registered for classes at your orientation program. You do not need to see an advisor prior to orientation.
