Mission and Goals Committee
The Committee on College Mission and Goals is charged with the review and revision of the mission and vision statements every three to five years as part of the strategic planning process. (Charter and By-Laws of the Council of Rhode Island College, Article XII, Section A, 1c)
In Fall 2013 the Committee commenced mission statement revision that included a public comment period. A proposed revision was drafted and submitted to Council on 12/13/2013 and the final statement was approved by the president on 12/18/2013. The statement is pending approval by the RI Board of Education.
Rhode Island College is one of the region's leading comprehensive public colleges.
